WASHINGTON, D.C. (February 11, 2021) – Former U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Chief of Staff, Mandy Gunasekara, joins The Alliance for Innovation and Infrastructure (Aii) Board of Directors.
“We are delighted Mandy is joining our Board of Directors. Her ability to develop constructive solutions to complex energy, environment and infrastructure issues will be a boon for Aii’s mission,” said Aii Chairman Chris Kilgore.
The Alliance for Innovation and Infrastructure (Aii) is an independent, national, educational organization dedicated to identifying our nation’s infrastructure needs, creating awareness of those needs, and finding solutions to critical public policy challenges. Aii strives to promote proven, innovative technology and higher safety standards in a non-partisan manner to achieve excellence nationwide.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to join Aii’s team. I look forward to cultivating a range of opportunities to improve both the discussion and outcomes surrounding our nation’s infrastructure challenges,” said new Aii Board Member Mandy Gunasekara.
Mandy Gunasekara is a veteran climate and energy strategist, communicator, and environmental attorney. She most recently served as the Chief of Staff at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Earlier in the administration, she served as the Principal Deputy Assistant Administrator for the Office of Air and Radiation where she developed a series of actions pertinent to successful infrastructure development, including permitting reform. She has extensive experience in the non-profit world and also served in a variety of roles across capitol hill in the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate.
