Scott Harper

Scott Harper is a member of the voluntary Board of Directors for Aii. An experienced attorney, he is a founding partner in the Dallas-based firm Harper Bates & Champion, where he focuses on innovation, technology, and intellectual property law.
Scott draws on well over a decade of experience in the complex world of intellectual property to offer insight to Aii. As we study the many challenges and advance out of the box solutions in the innovation and technological sphere, Scott’s experience is invaluable. A registered patent attorney and former president of the DFW Intellectual Property Lawyers Association, Scott is still active with the International Trademark Association (INTA) as a member of the INTA Brands and Innovation Committee. Through his practice, he has served as an expert witness in trademark law and regularly lectures and publishes articles on emerging intellectual property topics.
Scott holds a bachelor of science in civil engineering and a juris doctor degree. He is a member of the Texas state bar and is admitted to practice in front of six federal courts.
