Jami Shawley, Major General ret.

Jami Shawley graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point and served 33 years in the US Army. She was in the first cohort of women to fly armed and attack helicopters and has held command and staff positions in the US, Africa, Pacific, and Middle East, as well as been interagency operations director and policy officer for counterterrorism and national security.
Jami served as Commanding General for all US Army Reserve Aviation and US- Combined forces in the Horn of Africa. She later was assigned as Senior Director for Africa Policy and a Director for Defense Policy on the White House National Security Council. She retired as a Major General and now leads commercial and social initiatives globally.
